Now you can try Alkaline instantly on our site. There’s nothing to install—just click the Testdrive button to begin. You’ll be able to play with a fully-functional, fresh installation of Alkaline for 15 minutes. At the end of your 15 minutes, everything will be permanently erased.

Remember, if you choose to buy Alkaline, you’ll be given access to the source code with the ability to add third-party extensions, modify themes, and more—features we cannot replicate in our demo.

Limitations

• Alkaline Testdrive is based on Alkaline, not Alkaline Multiuser
• File upload restricted to a maximum of 2MB to discourage abuse
• The geolocation database is very large (over 90,000 cities), and therefore not installed by default
• If you’d like to test it, add the geo database by choosing Settings > Maintenance > Rebuild geographic library
• Without FTP access, themes and extensions cannot be added or modified
